This event runs from 7:30 until 12:45 in the gym.  Sign ups are closed.  Please do not sign up for overlapping events!

 

Students will build balsa wood bridges. The bridges will be built using a minimum of 20 stick of balsa and one bottle of glue!

 

The bridge designs will be weighed and then tested until the bridge breaks.

 

The bridge with the best mass/capacity (load) ratio will win the competition!

 

*Students must be willing to dedicate at least 3 hours per month to bridge building.*

 

 

The top 2 groups will move on to regional competition at YSU in March!

 

Who can participate? Any Junior or Senior currently enrolled in a science class at HHS.

Students can work in groups of 3.
