NOTE: NO BUBBLE WRAP ALLOWED!

Who can participate? Any HHS student or any Hubbard student attending TCTC.

Mentor: Mrs. McCleery

The objective is to build the lightest device possible that will keep the egg from cracking or breaking. Students may use any materials except bubble wrap. There are two categories. The device may either cushion the egg or use a parachute. The egg will be dropped from a height of 3 meters onto a 25 centimeter target. When the egg and device have settled, the distance from the edge of the target will be measured.. A penalty of 0.1 grams will be added to the weight of the device for every 5 centimeters between the device and the edge of the target. Winners will be determined after all of the eggs are dropped and all of the penalties are added to the weight of the devices.

This is an individual competition. No partners or teams.
